Bagan has the largest surviving collection of ancient Buddhist mural paintings in South East Asia. Prof John Miksic of NUS and Assoc Prof Goh Geok Yian of the NTU School of Humanities, who have been compiling records of these paintings for over 10 years, will discuss the styles and narratives of the paintings and their relationship to the architecture of the temples they adorn at a talk to be held at the Asian Civilisations Museum this evening.
