For the second year the College is holding an overseas summer school. However, because of the ongoing bird flu outbreak in China, we have changed the venue to Singapore - with a 5 day study trip to Cambodia (Siem Reap and Phnom Penh). The entire course is free of charge - including course fees, travel expenses to Cambodia, and off-campus hostel accommodation in Singapore for 5 weeks (near Orchard).
Moreover, the courses are credit bearing. Students will take two credit-bearing courses that are interdisciplinary in nature. Three courses will be offered, including a course in Great Ideas, another in Cultural Encounters, and a third in The Changing Family. The courses will be taught jointly by NTU faculty and faculty from partner universities. Additional enrichment courses in Southeast Asian culture will be made available to interested students.
The College is granting a limited number of scholarships of S$3,500 to cover students' tuition fees, study tour and accommodation. It is not payable in cash and covers neither transportation nor living expenses.
For more information, please download the brochure. Programme places and scholarships are made on a competitive basis to applicants. Do apply early to avoid disappointment.
For international students from partner universities, please contact the respective International Programme Offices (or its equivalent) of your schools.
