About CLASS Incentive Scheme

The CLASS Incentive Scheme is a seed grant scheme aimed at supporting faculty in their development of competitive grant proposals. Full-time Assistant, Associate and Full Professors in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) may apply for up to $5,000 to conduct pilot research leading to proposals to external funding agencies (e.g. MOE, MCYS, NMRC). By the end of December 2014, 53 Incentive grants totaling $217,985 have been awarded to HASS faculty. Applications for the Incentive Scheme open in May and December, and close in June and January, each year. The grant calls are announced via email to all HASS faculty.
