​​Can S’pore really transit to a post-oil economy?

In a commentary by Tilak Doshi, a Singapore-based energy consultant, and Prof Euston Quah, Albert Winsemius Chair Professor and head of economics at NTU, wrote about the possibility of Singapore moving away from oil refining to grow the green energy sector. If this is to be done, it must be at a pace Singapore can cope with and not destroy value in sectors of the economy that are ‘fit for purpose’ for another half century or more, they wrote.
