HASS International PhD Scholarship / Postdoctoral Fellowship 2019

The College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) International PhD Scholarship (HIPS) / Postdoctoral Fellowship 2019 is now open for application. HIPS aims to encourage outstanding Singapore citizens to pursue an academic career in HASS by supporting their doctoral studies or postdoctoral fellowship abroad.
Under HIPS, the successful candidates will be employed as University staff.  They will be granted paid leave to pursue a sponsored PhD programme / postdoctoral fellowship in an approved overseas university.  Upon successful completion of the programme, they will be appointed as tenure-track Assistant Professors of the University.
Candidates with research interests in art, design and media, economics and psychology will be given priority consideration. Candidates in other humanities and social science disciplines, with good academic credentials, strong research proposals, and have demonstrated scholarly potential, will continue to be reviewed favourably.

The application deadline is on 30 November 2018.  The Evaluation Committee will only start reviewing applications after the closing date.
