About The EU Centre

Message from the Director

A very Happy New Year to one and all!

The EU Centre enters into 2020 with new changes and new challenges. After 11 years (2008-2019) as a joint NUS-NTU entity, the EU Centre is now part of the vibrant and dynamic community in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS) at NTU. We have also physically relocated from our premise at 11 Slim Barracks Rise (NTU Executive Centre@One North) to the main NTU campus in the Jurong West Extension Area. We are now located at Level 5, School of Social Sciences (48, Nanyang Avenue, S639818)

We moved into CoHASS in November 2019, and is still finding our feet and feeling our way around. We hope to get up and running as soon as we worked out our new priorities as a Centre that is part of the larger College community. As we review our mission and objectives, we continue to maintain the many ties and networks in Europe and Asia that we have built up over the last decade. The Centre is a partner in several Jean Monnet Networks and we will continue to grow our links and strengthen ties favouring research and academic exchanges. We want to be the Centre that will help build people-to-people and education and scientific connectivity between Asia and Europe.

We look forward to embarking on this new journey as a Centre within CoHASS and aspire to work closely with colleagues and students in NTU to bring about greater exchange of knowledge and understanding on issues and concerns facing Asia and Europe
