Lee Wee Nam Library, Level 4, Library Seminar Room, Nanyang Technological University, 50 Nanyang Avenue, Singapore 639798
Prof Turner will explore the meaning and significance of cultural heritage. Drawing from sociological theories to everyday examples, he will show how cultural heritage is omnipresent, with pertinence even for phenomena that are not typically considered ‘cultural’. Historical and contemporary examples from Europe will serve to provoke thought on what many may construe to be abstract theories.
