On 3 October 2013, distinguished academics, policymakers and experts from Asia and Europe gathered in Singapore for a roundtable meeting to take stock of the recent developments in the global trade system, the WTO and the rise of mega-FTAs. Through presentations and discussions on the challenges faced by the WTO, the agenda for the upcoming WTO Ministerial Meeting in Bali, and the major free trade agreements such as TTIP, TPP and RCEP, the roundtable participants aimed to envisage the trajectory of global trade and future trends in plurilateral and regional FTAs.
Our centre has published a substantive roundtable report that incorporates the key ideas presented by distinguished panellists during the event. Please click here to download a copy of the report.
